Recurring Payments > Self Service

Recurring Payments' Self-Service features allow your customers to make payments and manage their card details via links that are sent via email or SMS.

To enable Self-Service on your account, and to set up your options such as enabling Expiring Card links, please contact support@adelante.co.uk.

Declined Payments

When a payment is declined, your customer will receive a customizable message which includes a link. Clicking on the link will take the customer to a screen where they can retry the payment with a new card, and additionally opt to store the card details for future payments against their plan.

You can track your success rate via the 'Self-Service' button on the Merchant screen. On the 'Self-Service Links' screen you can search for links by Link Type (e.g. 'Payment'), Link Date, Source (e.g. 'Recurring Payment') and Original Payment Date.

Expiring Cards

Expiring Card links are sent when there is a payment due within the next month and the card is due to expire this month. If a valid Email Address is available, it will use that, if not it will use SMS if enabled and a valid telephone number is found. The link is sent once per customer.

Again, you can track your success rate via the 'Self-Service Links' screen. For example, you can search for Link Type = 'Expiring Card' and Link Date = 'THIS MONTH' to track the progress of all links sent 'this' month.
